Forecast 42
UPDATE: only 1 more chapter is available!
I’m currently in the process of gathering together 42 online journals and/or literary blogs (or any kind of blog, really) to participate in the serialization of Forecast. Each chapter will be posted on a different web site, which will link back to the previous chapter, and forward to the next chapter once it’s live. The result will ultimately be a string of web sites sharing traffic for this project.
I have 41 participants involved so far, 2/3 of which are journals such as Redivider, Keyhole, Opium Magazine, and Puerto del Sol, the rest of which are blogs like Emerging Writers Network, HTMLGIANT, and Matt Bell. If you feel like being involved, or have any recommendations for people who might, please let me know, or forward this post along to that special someone.
I have delusions of grandeur, of course–not so much about Forecast, but about figuring out a workable template for future online serialization by anyone with a story to tell. The great thing about this is it leverages the promotional potential of many different people and readerships, and also brings those readers to new sites, and to other material they might not normally have discovered. If done right, it could be one of those rare “everybody wins” scenarios.
Anyway, as I said, let me know if you have any ideas. This is all new, so I’m open to suggestions.

I’m so jealous that I didn’t come across this until you already had the 42 sites. I would love to use my site to help serialize your book. If any of the scheduled sites falls through, please be in touch. Good luck finding a readership.

Hey Robert, thanks for the interest. Yes, I’ll certainly contact you should should something open up. In the meantime, I hope you have a chance to follow along with the serialization!

Guys are instantly turned on at the sight of a woman eating an ice cream cone. They’re usually thinking, Man, I wish I was that cone. Tonight, he gets his, visit this site.
